NOW ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Every person who walks through the doors of Graceful Pines brings a unique story, unique goals, and a unique pace of healing. That is why it is difficult to say in advance exactly how long your counseling journey will take. What we can promise is that the work you do here will be collaborative, intentional, and centered entirely on your needs.
Some clients feel ready to move forward after a relatively brief course of therapy. Others find continued sessions genuinely beneficial and choose to stay in the process longer. Over time, many clients naturally move toward less frequent appointments and return periodically for support as new chapters unfold. Whatever your path looks like, the decision of when to begin, how often to come, and when to conclude therapy is always yours to make.
How long you engage in therapy and how often you attend will be shaped by a number of factors, including:
* Your schedule and current life circumstances
* Therapist availability
* The nature and complexity of the concerns you bring to therapy
* How you respond to the therapeutic process and the pace of your progress
* Personal financial considerations
* Ongoing life challenges or new concerns that arise along the way
Research from the American Psychological Association suggests that, on average, 15 to 20 sessions is associated with meaningful improvement for many clients. For those seeking more complete resolution of symptoms or greater confidence in maintaining their gains, a longer course of therapy, in the range of 20 to 30 sessions over six months, may be beneficial. These are averages, not prescriptions. Your experience will be your own.
You and Dr. Royal will regularly assess where you are in your progress and work together to determine when you have met your goals and are ready for a planned, healthy conclusion to services.
Under federal law (the No Surprises Act, effective January 1, 2022), all clients who are uninsured or who choose to pay privately for services have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before services begin.
Graceful Pines Counseling & Consultation, PLLC is a private-pay practice. All clients receive a written Good Faith Estimate at or before the time of scheduling, at no charge. This estimate is based on the services reasonably expected for your care and is reviewed with you verbally at your first appointment.
Services are provided in person at our Jefferson, Texas office and via telehealth through Sessions Health, a HIPAA-compliant platform, for clients located within Texas.
CPT 90791 -- Initial 90-Minute Intake Session: $220.00
CPT 90834 -- Individual Psychotherapy (50 minutes): $145.00 per session
For couples and family sessions, please refer to the fees page.
Because the No Surprises Act requires a specific estimate rather than a range, the example below is calculated based on attending weekly sessions for a full calendar year. This represents the maximum expected cost under a consistent weekly schedule and is provided for planning transparency.
Initial intake session (90791 x 1): $220.00
Weekly individual therapy (90834 x 52): $7,540.00
Maximum estimated annual total: $7,760.00
Most clients do not attend 52 consecutive weekly sessions. Holidays, travel, illness, and natural changes in frequency mean that actual annual costs for most clients will be lower than this figure.
* This estimate reflects costs reasonably expected at the time it is prepared. Actual charges may differ based on your individual needs and treatment progress.
* If you receive a bill that is $400.00 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute that bill under federal law. For information about the dispute resolution process, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
* Initiating a dispute will not affect the quality of care you receive.
* This estimate is not a contract and does not require you to obtain services from Graceful Pines Counseling & Consultation, PLLC.
* A new estimate will be provided if your frequency, service type, or clinical needs change significantly.
